instituto cervantes open day

13th June 2013 The Spanish Nursery partners with Instituto Cervantes to celebrate (El Dia E 2013) (a Day to celebrate Spanish)

On Saturday the 22nd of June all the Cervantes branches in the world will have an open day celebration, aiming to share and celebrate the richness of the wide culture of the Spanish language.

In order to assist with children's activities at the London event, the organisers at Instituto Cervantes have asked the Directors at The Spanish Nursery to develop workshops designed specifically for the day.

This is a huge honour for The Spanish Nursery which only opened its doors at Ingestre Road Community Centre, NW5 in January of this year.

The entire team at The Spanish Nursery with the guidance of the Instituto Cervantes team have worked very hard to create a lovely and dynamic program which will include sharing poems by the famous children's books writer Gloria Fuertes and then painting pictures to reflect her works.  Another activity will include discussing the story of Don Quijote de la Mancha and encouraging the children to design a windmill.

Admission to this event at Eaton Square from 12pm until 7pm on Saturday the 22nd June is free but the children's sessions need to be booked and are subject to availability.  Places must be reserved in advance by contacting reservas.londres@cervantes.es or 020 7201 0752.

We encourage everyone to come along and enjoy the activities planned for the day which will include gastronomy, music among others.  A full program can be found at
